Do you sometimes have no idea what to write? I know I do. Here is a poem that I wrote when I had no idea what I was going to write about.
No Idea
Poetry is hard to write without ideas
Or in standard form.
Thoughts float by on the breeze.
I wish one would stop for me.
I ponder writing poetry and all the great poets;
Emily Dickenson, Walt Whitman, Ben Johnson, John Donne.
I wonder about the trouble they had
Think of ideas, putting them on paper.
It made a thought stop floating and come rest by me
So I could write this poem.
