I would have to say that my true favorite season would be spring. This poem shows the changes between winter and spring where I grew up.
Change of Season
When snow begins to melt
Off the mountainside
And Deer Creek fills with water.
Iris, May flowers, and salt and pepper
Grow to their full beauty.
The grass turns
From brown to green.
Blue birds, meadowlarks, and robins,
Returning from winter homes
Make nests in cottonwoods.
Baby animals are in the barnyard,
Calves, chicks, and lambs.
We know its spring
